CCTV Installation for Al-Chickone Catering Vehicle

CCTV Installation for Al-Chickone Catering Vehicle

We love installing CCTV and our strong point is that for the domestic (residential) market. However, we love new challenges and being able to provide our CCTV solutions for those locations that may not always be the ‘home’.

The customer for this CCTV Installation got in touch with us after being recommended by a commercial partner. We were able to secure their business premises, hence being asked if we could cater for something different.

This project was exactly that, it wasn’t the usual ‘brick and mortar’ premises that we’re used to, so we had to think outside the box on this one. The customer required full coverage of the inside of his catering vehicle, together with remote viewing support on his mobile phone. The problems this posed was that the vehicle would make frequent starts / stops – thus causing any regular hard disk drive to fail due to improper shutdowns. The other issue this posed was that there was no broadband connection simply plugged into the vehicle!

Having spoken to the owner of the catering vehicle, we designed a system based on two cameras to provide full coverage. This system would work without a conventional NVR so that the data could be stored directly to each camera utilising a 128GB Micro SD Card per camera. This would then be powered by a low voltage supply that would also power a 4G Mobile Router to provide full remote viewing capability. The end result was a stable CCTV system, with over 30 days local coverage and mobile viewing too!

On completion of the installation, we delivered our bespoke CCTV tutorial and left the customer with our custom in house Quick User Guide.

Are you looking for a CCTV Installation that’s a bit different to the norm? We would love to work on your project. Please do not hesitate to get in touch with us today. We operate a ‘Fixed Prices, No Surprises‘ policy and in most scenarios it is not even necessary for us to visit for a quote.
