CCTV Aware was formed from frustration in using CCTV systems during criminal investigations of over 14 years. During this period Ahmet, founder of CCTV Aware and former Metropolitan Police Homicide Detective has personally dealt with CCTV from over 30 Murder investigations in London. Understanding the importance of CCTV in assisting with the prosecution of offenders he decided that there were far too many systems out in the market that are just not fit for purpose.
Having dealt with manufacturers and software such as Qvis, Panasonic, Samsung, NetVu Observer, Dahua, and many many more Ahmet quickly realised that the systems that were relied upon heavily by the Police were not up to the standard of quality required to assist in the prosecution of offenders. He took it upon himself to form CCTV Aware to provide a system and service that was both fit for purpose, with a fit for price tag too.
After 18 months of research and development, CCTV Aware was formed. Many brands and clones of camera’s were tested and finding a reputable, proven manufacturer was difficult. During this period a shortlist of CCTV manufacturers were created and Hikvision was at the top.

In February 2016 as a result of a Hikvision CCTV system that we installed, a suspect for Burglary in Romford, Essex was easily identified, arrested and charged. Due to the quality of CCTV being that good, he pleaded guilty to burglary and was sentenced to 2.5 years in prison. 2 years and 800+ Hikvision installations later, we couldn’t have been more certain to have chosen Hikvision as our sole CCTV partner.
